  14. Protect your downloads, tape backups, and faxes; secure your workstation.
  15. Let your screen saver run when and only when you want it to!  Highly
  16. configurable, ScrnSaveSwitch/Plus gives you the fastest and most complete
  17. control possible over your Windows screen saver.  A click to a small button
  18. on your desktop lets you enable, disable, start, or configure your screen
  19. saver.  You can set the screen saver delay in one second (rather than 1
  20. min.) increments.  It also provides quick and safe methods to log off,
  21. shut down or restart Windows or your computer.

  29. 1.  Move or copy SSSWITCH.EXE, SSSRST16.EXE, and SSSWITCH.HLP into a new
  30.     or existing directory.
  31. 2.  Win95 or NT 4.0:  Add SSSWITCH to your Start Menu.  The "StartUp"
  32.          folder is a good place to add it.
  33.     Win NT 3.51:  Add the SSSWITCH icon to your Windows NT Program Manager
  34.          (File/New/Program Item...).  "StartUp" is a good program group
  35.          to add it to.

  41. 1.  Delete the above files from your hard drive.
  42. 2.  Delete the SSSWITCH.INI file from your Windows directory.
  43. 3.  Delete the SSSWITCH icon from Program Manager or Start Menu.

  46.                            Why ScrnSaveSwitch/Plus?

  49. * So programs run correctly:
  50.  
  51.     Not all software behaves correctly if the screen saver suddenly 
  52.     comes on.  Clicking the green dot Button to red is a simple and 
  53.     convenient way to protect your downloads, tape backups, faxes, etc.

  55.     Also, many screen savers require a lot of processor power, which
  56.     can drastically slow down other programs.

  58. * Security:

  60.     If your screen saver is password-protected, a quick click of the "S" 
  61.     Button starts the screen saver immediately and lets you leave your 
  62.     workstation without fear of others' prying.

  64. * So you can work:

  66.     Your computer can't tell whether you're reading what's on the 
  67.     screen, attending to another matter, or fast asleep!  It's all 
  68.     "inactivity" as far as the computer is concerned - but it can be an 
  69.     annoying interruption to you.

  71.     Windows 95's "sleep corners" are OK, as long as you remember to keep
  72.     your mouse there.  (They shoulda done it this way!)

  75. + Plus - The "Windows Exit" utilities:

  77.     Many programs (including Windows itself!) never release the memory
  78.     resources they acquire.  The only way to make those resources
  79.     available again is to quit Windows and then restart it.  Sometimes
  80.     a whole reboot is required to restore a system to "normal"!  These
  81.     utilities make that reinitialization safe, simple, fast and
  82.     keyboard-free.
